HabitHero is the parent app: you set up children, create chores and rewards, and approve completed work. HabitHero Kids is a free companion for your child's device or a shared family tablet, where kids see their quests and earn XP. You manage everything from the parent app.
There are no child emails or passwords. When you add a child in the parent app you get a numeric login code and a PIN. Enter those in HabitHero Kids to sign in. You can view or change them any time in the parent app.
On the child device, open HabitHero Kids and choose “Shared family tablet.” You'll see a roster of everyone in the family. Each child taps their face and enters their PIN to sign in as themselves, then taps the lock button when they're done so the next child can use it.
You create chores and assign or schedule them. When a child marks one done, it appears in the parent app for approval. On approval the child earns XP (which raises their rank), points (their spendable balance), and any reward you've set. Kids spend points in the reward store, and rank-ups and streaks unlock the Mystery Box.
Photo-proof lets a child attach a photo to show a chore is done. It's off by default and only available when you turn it on for a child. Photos are sent only to your family, are removed once you approve or decline the chore, and are never shown publicly. Location data is stripped from every image.
See our Kids Privacy Policy.
Check that notifications are enabled for HabitHero in Settings ▸ Notifications, that you're signed in to the same family, and that you have a connection. Fully closing and reopening the app re-registers it for notifications. If they still don't arrive, contact us with your device model and iOS version.
Purchases are tied to your Apple Account. Sign in with the same Apple Account on the new device and the app unlocks automatically; you can also re-download it free from the App Store under Purchased. No second payment is required — it's pay once, own it forever.
In the parent app you can remove a child at any time — this permanently erases that child's profile, chore history, any photos, and their sign-in account. To delete your entire family, remove all children and then contact us and we'll confirm full erasure. Deletion is genuine and permanent.
Yes. The Kids app has no ads, no third-party tracking, and no analytics. A child can only sign in with a code and PIN you provide, and can only see their own family's chores. We collect the minimum needed to run the app. Read the full Kids Privacy Policy.
HabitHero and HabitHero Kids run on iPhone and iPad. For the best shared-tablet experience, keep iOS up to date.
